The pistachio iced latte is the green-hued newcomer catching everyone's eye. It stands out both in flavor and appearance — those pale green tones are easy to spot in café windows and on social feeds, and the flavor balances novelty with comfort.

Why pistachio is having a moment

Pistachio is still a nut flavor, so it feels familiar, but it's less common than hazelnut — which makes it feel a little more elevated and special. It works beautifully on a premium iced latte menu and pairs well with pistachio desserts.

Ingredients (1 drink)

  • 36–40g espresso (double shot)
  • 15ml pistachio syrup (or pistachio-vanilla, 1 tbsp)
  • 120g ice
  • 150ml cold milk (whole or oat)
  • Crushed pistachios, for garnish (optional)

How to make it

  1. Pull a double shot of espresso.
  2. Stir the pistachio syrup into the warm espresso.
  3. Fill a tall glass with ice and pour the sweetened espresso over it.
  4. Top with cold milk, stir, and finish with crushed pistachios if you like.

Pro tips

  • Pistachio-vanilla syrup gives a rounder, sweeter flavor if available.
  • A double shot keeps the coffee present against the rich nuttiness.
  • Crushed pistachios on top add color and confirm the flavor is real.

Key takeaways

  • Pistachio is familiar yet elevated — perfect for a premium menu.
  • A double shot balances the rich, sweet nuttiness.
  • Real pistachio garnish adds aroma and visual appeal.
