Floral, smooth, and lightly sweet, the iced honey lavender latte is the kind of drink that makes people stop and ask, "What is in this?" It's a café-level flavor you can absolutely make at home with one extra step.

Why lavender works

Lavender adds an unexpected floral note that feels elegant rather than dessert-y. Paired with honey's round sweetness and espresso's depth, it becomes a layered, aromatic drink — light enough for a warm afternoon.

Ingredients (1 drink)

  • 36–40g espresso (double shot)
  • 12g honey (2 tsp)
  • 60ml hot water + 1 lavender tea bag
  • 120g ice
  • 140ml oat or almond milk

How to make it

  1. Steep the lavender tea bag in 60ml hot water for 5 minutes, then remove it.
  2. Stir the honey into the lavender tea until dissolved.
  3. Pull a double shot of espresso and combine it with the lavender honey.
  4. Fill a tall glass with ice, pour the mixture over it, add milk, and stir gently.

Pro tips

  • Keep lavender light — too much turns soapy fast. 5 minutes of steeping is plenty.
  • Honey blends best when stirred into warm liquid first.
  • Oat or almond milk keeps the floral notes delicate; whole milk can mute them.

Key takeaways

  • Steep lavender gently — overdoing it makes the drink taste soapy.
  • Dissolve honey in warm tea before combining with espresso.
  • Lighter milks let the floral flavor shine.
