The honey cinnamon latte swaps refined syrup for honey, giving the drink a floral sweetness that pairs beautifully with warm cinnamon. It's a gentler, more natural-feeling latte — less candy-sweet than a flavored syrup latte, with a cozy spice finish.

Ingredients

  • 2 shots of espresso
  • 1–1.5 tbsp honey
  • A pinch of cinnamon, plus extra for topping
  • 8 oz whole milk (oat milk also works well with honey)

Step-by-step

  1. Add the honey and a pinch of cinnamon to a 12 oz cup.
  2. Pull two shots of espresso over the honey and stir until fully dissolved.
  3. Steam the milk to glossy microfoam.
  4. Pour the milk into the cup, blending with the honey-espresso base.
  5. Dust the foam with a little extra cinnamon and finish with a thin drizzle of honey if you like.

Tips for the best cup

  • Use a mild, floral honey (like clover or wildflower) so it doesn't overpower the espresso.
  • Honey dissolves best in the hot espresso — add it before the milk.
  • Oat milk's natural sweetness complements honey especially well.

Key takeaways

  • A honey cinnamon latte uses honey instead of flavored syrup.
  • Dissolve the honey in the hot espresso first.
  • A pinch of cinnamon in the base and on top ties it together.
